Women at the Festival

Throughout the week there are lots of wonderful cinematic and social events of special interest to women. There are the parties listed below and the exciting film programs that go with them - Why Not Me?, , She Ain't No Lady and Divinely Female, Boldly Butch.  In addition, there are programs such as the Showcase Presentation of But Iím a Cheerleader on Friday night, My Girlfriend Did It on Saturday morning and Transformations on Saturday afternoon, as well as Chronicle of an Ordinance and Sexual Exiles later in the day. Many of the other films throughout the week also include some lesbian characters, whether it's the Lego-lesbian couple who want to have a baby in the Tuesday animated short or a woman who bears witness to the Holocaust in Wednesday's Paragraph 175.    And take a chance on any of the great films from Spain, Germany, England and the United States, and what you see might surprise you, challenge you and please you!  Of course, you are invited to all our parties, especially the opening and closing night galas, which are sure to be highlights of the Festival
