To celebrate the screening of "Cachorro", the exquisite restaurant Joe Allen hosted a large group from the festival including (L to R) Festival Spanish Programmer Ruben Rosario and "Cachorro" star Jose Luis Garcia-Perez.

The Gala Centerpiece screening of "Cachorro" enjoyed a sell-out audience at the Miami Shores Theater. As well as celebrating an amazing film, the packed audience gave a standing ovation to the high spirited bidding that raised the festival fundraising to reach well above its goals.

Festival Board Vice-Chair MarkyG with Ken Goss and Bill Sullivan at the Gala Centerpiece Party for "Cachorro." Ken Goss surprised and delighted MGLFF audiences just before the screening by publically pledging to cover the remaining $8,500 needed by MGLFF to reach its $50,000 matching Angel Grant. Upon receiving the news, MGLFF's anonymous Angel donor raised the pledge to $60,000.
