Under the rigorous demands of the Dogma movement, a purist filmmaking aesthetic requiring all practitioners to shoot with handheld cameras and available natural light; writer-director Juan Pinzás, in his second Dogma feature, turns his stylistic limitations to his advantage and the result gives the viewer the voyeuristic sensation of eavesdropping on the most private, uninhibited conversations of the Spanish elite.

Rosendo's golden opportunity has arrived: Not only is he marrying Sonia, the beautiful daughter of a publishing mogul, but the handsome novelist is finally able to weasel his way into the family fortune and get the plum book deal he has always desired. If only that pesky, on-the-side male lover of his would keep his mouth shut about their torrid affair... Will Rosendo's skeletons come tumbling out of the closet? Can he - and does he really want to - put his naughty past behind him? And just how closely is the upwardly mobile writer involved with his bride's immediate family? Love might be the last thing on anyone's mind, but only Sonia's tarot-card-reading lesbian aunt knows for sure in this ruthless, scathing, right-on-target satire.
