Drown your martinis quick and rush back for a stark, brave look at what boys REALLY want. Todd Verow's Bangor Films posse have churned out countless independent films (Frisk, Once and Future Queen, The Addiction Trilogy...), with an experimental and punk rock spirit that grabs you by the shoulders, shakes you up, and follows it up with a mischievous chuckle. The camera voyeuristically follows Todd, a night time employee, who reacts to his stale relationship by seeking out anonymous sex on the Internet, in public places, over the phone and, when no one's around, with himself. Todd is beaten and tossed out on the street when John, his partner of 5 years, catches him in a compromised position in a restroom. Homeless and now living at his office, he has some decisions to make. Anonymous, Verow's 12th film, is sexually graphic and dark. Although definitely not for everybodys viewing taste, it really should be. It's a serious contemplation on love with a central caustic truth that monogamy may be nothing more than a utopian thought.
