Just off of the Las Vegas fast-lane, there's a world of teenage hustlers
living on the edge, struggling with their sexuality and perhaps secretly
yearning for something more.Ý Falling into this world is cute, wide-eyed
Johnny (Jesse Bradford from Bring it On), dreaming of future
stardom as a race-car driver but stuck in town when he's robbed at
a casino of all the cash he's got.Ý After some mishaps on his own,
Johnny is offered hustling advice and friendship from Eric (television's
Jordan Brower), a seasoned street-pro who still retains the fresh
boyish look that johns pay for.Ý As the two grow closer, despite the
tough faÁade, Eric finds he can't deny his growing (though unreciprocated)
romantic feelings.Ý Playing den mother to the boys, Daryl Hannah shines
as an ex-showgirl who's seen her share of Vegas hell.Ý Rounding out
the group is Jonathan Taylor Thomas, vastly changed since his Home
Improvement days, as a bisexual rent-boy with jet-black hair and
a randy vocabulary as jaded as any twenty-five year old's.Ý For that
matter, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen's cameo as a jilted bride reminds us
just how far we are from Beverly Hills, 90210.Ý With gay film
legend Gus Van Sant as executive producer, Nickolas Perry's feature
debut is a polished, poignant and unsettling portrait of a one version
of growing up in the City of Sin.Ý Director Nickolas Perry will
attend the screening and discuss his film with the audience.
