That familiar straight guy fantasy of his girlfriend in bed with another woman is delightfully turned on its head in this uproarious and very gay sex farce.Ý Anthony's a rugged New York firefighter more than convincingly played by the film's director himself, the very fine Lane Janger.Ý Amy (High Fidelity's Joelle Carter) loves Anthony so much that, just before their big Catholic wedding, she's willing to sleep with a woman to satisfy his burning desire.Ý But, she extracts one clever promise from him in exchange, thinking he'll never follow through: he has to do it with another guy.Ý The cross-gender fun ensues as, on Anthony's suggestion, Amy tentatively seeks out Michelle, the sultry lesbian carpenter who lives across the street, played by the soon-to-be-every-woman's-heartthrob Jennifer Esposito (Summer of Sam).Ý And after a couple of beers, these girls are getting more than sisterly.Ý Amy in turn enlists Latin neighborhood gay-boy Victor (the adorable Guillermo Diaz from Party Girl and Stonewall), who's long had it bad for Anthony and is tripping over his "fuschia" sneakers to oblige. Unexpectedly, Victor bonds more easily with Anthony's "straight but not narrow" firefighter buddies.Ý As the flirtations multiply (and yes, some characters finally get some, but the surprising combos are yours to discover), the temperature rises and the hilarity increases in this street-smart comedy-of-errors.Ý Director Lane Janger and actor Guillermo Diaz will attend the screening and discuss the film with the audience.
